My daughter (5 years old, year 1), has just started your Thursday after school cooking class Little Cooks at Dio.

She absolutely loves it and I have been impressed with the variety, quality and taste of the food she is preparing.

Last week she made Tuna cakes and guacamole. Neither (daughter) nor her 7 year old brother will eat tuna at home but they both devoured this dish whilst still on the school grounds! Yesterday my daughter made scones. Also devoured before we got home.

Thank you so much for your important contribution to our daughter’s learning and for supporting a positive relationship with a diverse range of foods, which has a positive flow on effect within our family.

After school classes:

We run weekly classes where kids will learn and practise kitchen skills, making delicious sweet / savoury foods in a fun group environment.  Here are our current locations.

MURRAYS BAY TUESDAY class 

AGE Takapuna WEDNESDAY class- open only to AGE students

Scott Point Primary FRIDAY class 

Belmont Intermediate School THURSDAY class: 3.30-4.30pm – open to students outside the school

Hobsonville Point Primary School MONDAY, TUESDAY (NEW!!) AND WEDNESDAY class:  3.20-4.30pm Contact us to join. 

Pinehurst School  FRIDAY (years 1-6) class 3.30-4.30pm.

Kristin Junior School: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday classes: 3.30-4.30pm (Only available for Kristin students.)

Diocesan Junior School: Monday and Thursday classes: 3.30-4.30pm (Registration is through the school and is only available for DIO students.)

Cancellation Policy for after school classes: 

If your child is sick and can’t attend one of our after school classes, unfortunately we can’t offer a refund or credit. This is due to our fixed costs: rent, ingredients purchased and staff secured for each day. If there is an opportunity or space in another class where your child can do a make up class, we will suggest that option. 

Cancellation Policy for workshops: 

If your child is sick and we are notified 48 hours before the workshop, we will offer a full refund.  If we are given 24 hours notice however, we have already done the grocery shopping for the event, planned staff for a specific number of kids and therefore cannot offer a refund.
